There is nothing that we can do to change the past. Yet, we continue to dwell on the things of the past. Maybe you have regrets about the way you handled something, or you have disappointments about certain failures. There is nothing that can be done to change what happened back then. We have to move forward.  You have to forgive yourself. You made mistakes and maybe you didn’t achieve the goals that you set for yourself. Forgive yourself so you can move on. Free yourself from the bonds of regret.

Each day we ask for forgiveness God grants that request and forgets about our past sins. He moves on from the past and we should do the same. Yesterday is old news. Live in the present and do what you can today to achieve those goals and make amends. Know that you are not the only one who makes mistakes. We all need to be forgiven.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)
