Love Yourself the Way God Does

We often show grace to others, but we tend to be hard on ourselves. We can become disappointed and frustrated with ourselves when we make mistakes. God looks at you with love and patience, and he’s quick to forgive. Jesus already knows your weaknesses, mistakes, and your doubts. Yet he went to the cross for you anyway. When you’re overly critical of yourself or carry shame, you forget that Jesus has already forgiven you. He loves you no matter what you’ve done. Loving yourself the way Jesus loves you means forgiving yourself, realizing you’re not perfect, and allowing yourself room to grow. Choose to see yourself through his eyes as redeemed and deeply valued.

“Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” Jeremiah 31:3
